i beileve its a cool idea, because its changing the way we print, i believe it wont have a big effect,
this one because its amazing what they can make with a little plastic and metal
I think it is cool. It could change the way we print and the things we print. It might have a big effect but it most likely won't.

ReplyDeleteI think it is a cool idea that could change manufacturing forever. This technology is game changing because manufacturers can make large parts at half the cost and time. I think this will boost the economy because companies will be able to make items quicker, which they can then sell. It will call for more training in the welding and metal skills. I think it will open up more jobs for those interested in welding and metal working. I think the article on NASA's 3D printing is the most interesting. It says that NASA is using 3D printing to make parts for the rocket they are planning on sending to Mars. This is interesting because it shows how major companies and organizations are using this 3D printing technology.

I think it is a great idea. I think this will be game changing because they can make parts in less time and using less money, and it will help the economy in the same way. There will be more job opportunities for people interested in welding and building things with metal. I think the most interesting article was the one about the MakerBot because I think it is truly amazing how far we've come with technology and how it is possible to make a some of the things they talk about in this article with one of these printers.
ReplyDelete3-D printing is a good idea. It allows things to be printed at a whole new perspective.It also allows things to be produced faster. The most interesting article to me is the "Makerbot build the future layer by layer". It can make almost any plastic object. Which is pretty amazing so i think 3-D printing is a good idea.
ReplyDeleteI think this is really cool. It could change the future forever. Manufacturers can make more parts in half the time and for a much lower price. My favorite article was the one about NASA's 3D printing process that makes parts for the rocket that they are sending to Mars. I found this article the most interesting.
ReplyDeleteA little over a year ago, 3D printing was a new technology that you might find at booths in the basement level of the Las Vegas Convention Center. President Obama mentioned it in the same breath as Apple and Intel during his State of the Union address, while talking about ways to create new jobs and manufacturing. Manufacturers have added about 500,000 jobs over the past three years. The Department of Defense provided $30 million to help get NAMII going, which will be matched by a consortium of big name corporations, universities and non-profits including Boeing, IBM, and Carnegie Mellon University.

The job market would change, more jobs will be open. I think the NASA 3D printing parts for the next rocket going to Mars because the people can finally go and explore with more safety.
ReplyDeleteI think the idea of 3D printing is a wonderful idea. It could boost the economy by the rate of manufacturing speed. The process is faster than hand making everything. When the items are made faster, they can be sold faster. At the same time with 3D printing, it could make the economy go down. The machines could take over a lot of the workforce, where jobs openings are closed or no longer available. The NASA article was the one I found most interesting. They use a process similar to 3D printing, by using a laser. The items are more stable which calls for a sturdier safer rocket.

ReplyDeleteI think 3D printing is a excellent idea. The problem is it would get rid of a lot of jobs. The few jobs it makes would be technical jobs which would require training, which in turn cost money. The coolest article in my opinion is the one about staples putting it in their stores.
