  20. The blog is about how scientists discovered how to make miniature brain with stem cells. The scientists at Institute of Molecular Biotechnology and more researchers at Edinburgh University of Human Genetics. They accomplished their goal which is “analyze the development of human brain tissue and generate a model system…to transfer knowledge from animal models to a human setting.”

  21. It's pretty cool that Austrian scientist i have created a miniature brain from stem cells. This is a big step leap in the development of stem cell research . In the years to come scientists might even be able to make a full working brain. Scientists could possible find a cure neurological disorders such as autism, Alzheimers and depression. That's pretty cool in my book.

  23. Groundbreaking brain news from a laboratory in Austria– for the first time, scientists have managed to grow mini human brains from stem cells. Stem cells have been used to grow a variety of organ tissue, including a liver and a trachea. While they are far from growing pet brains in petri dishes, they're now closer than ever to gaining a fuller understanding of how the most complex organ works. This "growing mini-brains" could really change lives.

  30. I think its cool you can make human brains with stem cells. There is a man in Austria by the name Reuters Health that has figured out a way to make human brains with stem cells. I think that if u put one of those in a human it wouls make them a robot

  32. In Austria for the first time, scientists have managed to grow miniature human brains from stem cells. To demonstrate the usefulness of their discovery, the researchers used the organoids to model the development of a rare neurological condition called microcephaly—in which patients develop an abnormally small head.Their first goal that they accomplished was to analyze a developing brain. I think that this is a big step in science. I think that next they will be able to create a normal functioning brain which will be a huge step in science. If someone had brain damage and needed a brain if they keep trying and are able to make fully functional brains they can save more people's lives.

  33. I think that its amazing that they can grow mini brains from stem cells. The cool thing about it is they have never used brain tissue to substitute it for distinct part. There's another cool thing and that is that the research provides pioneering insights into autism.

  34. I think its awesome how they can create a living organ. Something like this could save even more lives, like the kids life they saved with the printed kidney! Its completely amazing!
How they can use stem cells to make a liver or trachea... and now a mini brain!
I believe all they need now is a brain transplant (and a larger model of the brain) to prove this new creation really works!

  35. I think that it made a cool subject that makes you think what life can be when the government can heal the human body without killing the person by injecting them with unneeded substances. It makes me think that when we can heal our bodys quicker we can do more than we can in this time. I wonder that when we can actually heal our brains we MIGHT be able to use all of our brain capacity or at least double of what we use now. If we can possibly do that people might not kill themselves by getting drunk, high or even suicide. If we can use all of our brain capcity we might be able to actually help ourselves instead of killing people and ourselves for no sensible reason.

This article is telling us that government scientists are researching how to create mini human brains with stem cells that are alive. The scientists started with oringinal stem cells from a living human being. What they use stem cells for is to grow a variaty of organ tissue including the liver and trachea.

  43. i believe that the mini brains are gonna start new research and surgery to help save peoples life in times of need and other people will be amazed by all the things that the scientist have come up with that could help save people from dieing. the artical said that the brains could be used to cure autism, Alzheimer, and depression, and could be used to cure brain cancer. so therefore what i believe the artical is trying to say to the people is that it could possibly make you live a few years longer and you never know it could be used to do a lot of stuff and cure a lot of diseases. I really related to this story because the scientific evidence about how people are making brains out of stem cells.

They are working with things to give brain tissue a boost. I think that this is so great how they have all this information and work and they are helping the human body and they are changing medical science as we know it. With this they will be less death ,human might live longer ,and for us to use our mind onto another level.

scientists to make in history to do in a laboratory in austria. It sounds really hard to for a student at school if it is possible to do.But people around the world is ready to do futuristic things
around the world, but man mini brain cells and i don't know what is it for but we will know sooner or later.

  59. Its cool but this mini-brain would need lots of touch ups ,so humankind is making extraordinary advancements but what about advancements politically ,environmentally. Why can't they create a way to feed the people who are malnutrition in the foreign places? What about the crime rates?focus on those things which would help humankind as a whole.Save the trees and wildlife instead of using the land for big cities.

    ReplyDelete
  60. i think it is a horrible idea, because a mini brain wouldn't have as much as knowledge as a regular size brain, and people probably wouldn't react to thing the same as if they had a regular sized brain.

I think that if they get the hole process going that it will be a huge success.

  69. Wow, it's amazing how scientists in Australia have figured out how to make mini human brains from stem cells. This could turn out to be a cure for a number of brain diseases and brain tumors. These "mini brains" can turn out to save countless lives of people who have a brain disease. If scientists figure out how to increase the size of these brains to the normal human brain standard, doctors and neurological surgeons would be able to totally replace infected human brains with brand new ones. But what would happen to all of thats person thoughts, their personality, their memories? Would they have to learn to speak english and walk again? WOuld they basically have to start over with their life?

    ReplyDelete
  70. Everytime you turn around there is somebody is inventing something new. This new brain thingy is really not interesting to me. Im just saying..

They can be used to help with people's problems though. It can show the doctor some problems with your head if the doctor can not figure out. I think this could end up turning out to be a cure for Alzeheimers and other brain diseases. If sceintists figure out how to make bigger modules of these brains to normal human brain size. Then surgeons could replace damaged brains with new ones. Only probably is will that person still have their memories, will they have to learn to speak again, or will they even have to learn how to walk again? We will never know.
