I think it is a little of both good and waste or money because if we are not prepared we could be like the dinosaurs, but waste because we live so far away from the steroids.
I think watching meteors is a good idea. It's interesting and it might could help prevent something important from getting damaged if a meteor were to fall. We could see that it was falling and do everything in our power to stop it.
I think it would be a good idea to watch for meteors, they could cause a lot of damage to the area they hit. I think it could also be a waste of money if they invest to much money into it.

I believe that watching for meteors is a good idea and a waste of money. I mean you would be able to detect a lot of meteors and save multiple lives but it also would waste close to $30 million just to build one of the telescopes to orbit the earth when we already have one in orbit, The Hubble Telescope. Why not just sue that instead of putting this country in more debt than it should be.
